In "A Line in the Sand ", a section of the notorious "Highway of Death"(Gulf  War) was recreated. Over 543 ceramic cast vehicles were splayed out on a 12 foot x 30 foot sand covered platform. I worked from the limited news images that one can find of this event. The vehicles were massed to represent the frantic movement of those trapped along this highway.
